#Mac os 10.9.5 keeps indexing how to

As far as I know there is only one account I am using on this computer - so it should be the primary admin account no? Maybe that is my problem? But I do not have any other accounts setup on this machine. but every time I try to launch the software from my Mac mini that I have setup with the software - it crashes, and won't get past the welcome screen. once you have verified the drive is okay then restart the computer normally and back it up using Time Machine and then you are ready to upgrade to High Sierra which is the most current version of Mac OS. I have downloaded Firefox 60.0.2 MANY times and 'installed' it, but after the 'update' it says its still running 58.0.2. The Recovery Partition is found by holding down the Command and R keys on startup. It is successfully running Firefox version 58.0.2 but keeps telling me there is a critical update needed. Hi guys, I updated both my ATEM Television Studio and control panel to version 7.2 and downloaded the latest Control Software - the switcher and panel are talking to each other, and working without failure. I am running 10.9.5 on my Mid 2011 Mac desktop.
